Set Menu

FOR BOOKINGS MONDAY TO THURSDAY, GROUPS OF 12 DINERS AND ABOVE ARE REQUIRED TO ORDER FROM OUR SET MENU.

For Bookings Friday to Sunday, groups of 10 diners and above are required to order from our set menu.

Our set menus are in place to ensure we can cater for your party and also the rest of the restaurant at the same time, there are so many different possible combinations on our menu that if we didn’t have a set menu for larger groups, our service for both you and our other customers would not be at the standard we expect.

On Monday to Friday Lunchtimes, if we are quiet and ordering from the A La Carte Menu won’t impact on you or our other diners, then we can be flexible. Please ask your waiter or one of the management team.

The words “Set Menu” can sometimes be off-putting, please don’t feel that way. Every single meat that is available on our A La Carte Menu is also available on our set menu and portion sizes are no different – we have never had a complaint about the food on our set menu.

Our only objective with having a set menu is to ensure you and our other diners have a memorable experience at Havet – with larger parties, so our service can be efficient and of the standards we demand, we need to have an element of continuity in what is ordered. For example, a table of 12 could order 12 different starters and 12 different main courses – we respectfully ask you to understand the impact this has on our cooking station and also our waiters when it comes to serving your food.

Because we are a busy restaurant (and we will never forget that we have you all to thank for this) if we didn’t have this policy in place then our standards will drop and the experience of our customers will drop too – we absolutely do not wish for this to happen.

Why do we request a deposit?

We request a deposit of £10 per head because we are reserving a table and therefore making it unavailable for other customers. Unfortunately, we have had experiences in the past where we have held tables for larger parties and no-one has ever arrived – it is not fair on our other diners that we have to turn them away because we are fully booked.
