We have been overwhelmed by the support shown by our customers and employees and we hope that this support will continue. We want to reassure you that the safety of you and every member of our staff is our main concern and for this reason we have introduced the following measures.
Cleaning & Sanitisation
- We’ve implemented a rigorous cleaning regimen to reinforce our already high standards of hygiene.
- We introduced a dedicated team to ensure all surfaces, handles and communal areas were sanitised and cleaned constantly.
- We also removed all cutlery and condiments from the tables, these steps will continue.
- In addition to this we have purchased our own fogging equipment and trained our own cleaning team in the use of this equipment to disinfect the premises on a regular basis. We will also be introducing more sanitisation stations in our restaurants, particularly in and around the entry areas.
We already have a strict sickness policy in place and we planning to enhance this by conducting several daily temperature checks on all the staff. In addition to this we are providing PPE to all our staff. As published, the key to reducing the risk of infection is handwashing. Please be assured that all staff continually wash their hands with anti-bacterial soap and sanitisation stations are in key places in both the kitchens and communal areas.
As a busy restaurant our biggest challenge has been how we satisfy our customers needs for protection. We have therefore taken the decision to install portable screens throughout all sites that can be used between the tables and in high flow areas. We have also reduced table numbers to ease congestion and introduced designated areas for take away and delivery orders. In addition to this disposable menu’s will now be used. We will ensure social distancing measures are in place where possible and slowly reduce these as and when we are advised to by the Government. All card machines will be sanitised after each use and as always tables wiped and sanitised after each use.
Delivery & Take Away Service
We have partnered with Uber Eats to introduce a new delivery service for those of you are not quite ready to eat out but still want Havet. All deliveries will be contactless and for the first time take away orders can be placed online. We regret that walk-in take away orders will not be accepted in order to reduce the risk of congestion in the waiting area. However, we will still be accepting telephone orders at each of our sites. Our prices will slightly differ on the delivery platforms, but the collection price will remain the same as our current menu. We will also be running a reduced menu as we will have to reduce our staff numbers and to minimise waste.
Dining in may be a slightly different experience than before as we all adjust to the changes taking place. We strongly request and encourage contactless card payments where possible, and that all tips are paid by card to reduce the handling of cash. We also need to put strict time limits on our tables to minimise congestion. We have also introduced clear screen dividers to help you feel more at ease but not isolated.
Things will look and feel a little different as we try to return to some form of normality, but be assured, our ethos of fresh food daily will always remain.
